- Originally called "Kusari Doi", they have been in use in Japan for centuries to accentuate gardens and collect rain water for household use
- Will not readily clog with debris or ice like traditional closed gutter systems

- As part of the aging process, the copper weathers to a natural antique green-brown patina over time
